Grimes Finishings Ltd are currently undertaking the Drylining, SFS & fire stopping on the prestigious, Spanish-owned Santander’s new £200 million data centre facility near the village of Narborough, Leicestershire.
The two identical facilities known as ‘Project Fox’ have over 160,000 square feet of floor space each and are part of Santander’s expansion of their Carlton park headquarters.
Each building has four levels; Levels one and two, which are below ground level, will contain the data equipment while three and four will house the electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Grimes Finishings Ltd have been tasked with multiple high specification fire, acoustic and structural installations key to the delivery of the project by the project management team at MACE on behalf of Santander.
Santander is building its UK IT hub in a similar manner to a recently completed Santander facility in Spain and one being built in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

- Partition and drywall systems
- Suspended ceilings
- Acoustic ceiling systems
- Fires stopping
- Structural framing systems
- Protection of specialist equipment
